As each plate revisits and liberates Italian culinary traditions through an evolved, plant-based lens, you will be handed the canvas for your own transformation. Through the art of Blackout Poetry, we will take traditional stories and recipes, blacking out the rigid rules of the past to let new, proud words of identity and freedom emerge.

Gabriele Bonomi (Vegan Bear Chef) & Elisa Brunelli are two Italian artists based in the Netherlands whose paths crossed through a shared history of departure, transformation, and rebirth. For Queertropolis, they merge their distinct mediums—culinary arts and poetic erasure—to map an inner journey of queer liberation, proving that both recipes and identities can always be rewritten.
