About Esther Kin
I love the combination of emotion and movement. Two things I always try touse in my work. Materials that work well for me are ink and brushes. You canmake a grand gesture without being tempted to reshape or cover up anything, which often detracts from spontaneity. Finding the balance between control andexpression (letting go) is a real challenge to create work that is open andinviting, shows courage, but is not overflowing with brutality. I try totranslate my subject into something that you can feel and recognize. That's whyI choose something that resonates with everyone, a human posture or movement.Prior to my current work, I worked on Motion Graphic Design, animation, illustration and calligraphy. All of which have been an invisible lead-up to mycurrent developments.
I enjoy supporting others in finding their creative language, with which theycan give their own interpretation to the matters that are close to theirhearts.
