EXTEND YOUR MUSIC CRAFT IN FILM SCORING & CINEMATIC MUSIC
An 8-week course on Introduction to Composing for Film for musicians, composers, or music enthusiasts aged 17 and above with a basic knowledge of music theory (harmony, chord progressions) or experience playing an instrument.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Participants will learn the history and evolution of film music and genre music, how to translate emotions and visuals into sound, compose and improvise based on script and visual material, and understand instrumentation basics for film. Lessons include individual feedback on composition assignments (romantic, thriller, and other cinematic scenes).

Lessons are 1 hour per week, in person at the teacher’s studio at Treehouse NDSM or online. A 15-minute free introductory session could be arranged for new students.
