I am a theatre designer. I have been focusing on my autonomous work for almost 2 years, and mainly drawing with thread and needle, a medium I have discovered and has been an inspiring experiment. After the presentation of DICHTBEELD (2022), I started Heart on Sleeve (referring to the English expression to wear your heart on your sleeve), an investigation into the role of Mary and her shadow Mary Magdalene. In addition to the substantive research, I am also involved in material research and I am now embroidering on (tree) leaves.
