Strongly influenced by Nubian-Sudanese roots and contemporary icons such as Nai Palm, Solange, and Erykah Badu, Hatoon weaves soulful, afrofuturistic stories through her music—earning her the title "the afrofuturistic fairy." Her writing offers a glimpse into her experience as a young woman who grew up as a refugee, where the many lives she has lived come together in her voice.
