If you live in Amsterdam Noord, vote for Treehouse NDSM and help organize 'A shared dining experience with art and food' offering three interactive dinner evenings for residents of Amsterdam-Noord!
The neighbourhood budget supports initiatives that strengthen connection, participation, and community life in Amsterdam-Noord.
By voting from 19 January to 16 February, residents help decide which projects can be realised and which ideas come to life in the neighbourhood.
Treehouse NDSM organises three interactive dinner evenings for residents of Amsterdam-Noord, with special invitations to neighbours from Tuindorp Oostzaan, Molenwijk, Tutti Frutti Dorp, and NDSM. Each evening welcomes 30 participants and includes a guided tour by the curators and artists, followed by a shared dinner and conversation. Participants share recipes, memories, and traditions, and create new ones together. All stories and recipes are collected and compiled into a cookbook that is shared with participants, local community centres, and the exhibition space.
This project is part of the Embrace Your Inner Brussels Sprouts exhibition centered on food, memories, and the feeling of being at home. Food is powerful: it tells stories, evokes memories, and connects people. Family recipes bring memories to life and can make you feel at home instantly, this is the core of the exhibition.
The project is initiated by artist and chef Gabriele Bonomi, who lives and works in Amsterdam-Noord, and is created for and with residents of the area.
The exhibition will take place from 19 February to 15 March 2026.
With your vote for the neighbourhood budget, we can make this project possible.
