Amsterdam Piano Sessions is a unique event where you can experience three intimate concerts in one evening. You will have the opportunity to meet Daria Fedorchenko, Xavier Boot and Marko Ivic in their own piano studios, and listen to a varied program of repertoire and original works, ranging from classical to minimal and electroacoustic.
How does it work?
Visitors are divided into 3 groups so that each pianist welcomes a small audience to their studio and present their music. After the first one, the group will continue to the next studio until everyone completes their round through all of them.
Daria Fedorchenko was born into a musical family and started playing from an early age. She graduated from ArtEz Conservatory in 2016 and her love for other art disciplines has taken her to work with writing, dance and theatre, as well as on a variety of collaborative projects. Her aim is to open classical music and fine arts towards a broader public and use it as a connection to heal the collective unconscious.
XA4 (Xavier Boot) creates experimental acoustic/electronic music with minimal and impressionist influences. He performs in big concert halls in the Netherlands, such as the Melkweg, TheRoyal Concertgebouw, Muziekgebouw. He also had shows in various other countries, including a tour organised by the Princes Christina Foundation in Denmark. His composition “Ascent” was reworked for piano/vibraphone and electronics, and released on Spotify, where it got over 100.000 streams.
Marko is an interdisciplinary artist based in Amsterdam. Coming from a classical background, he tapped into live electronics at the Conservatorium in Amsterdam. His musical language is inspired by minimal music and improvisation, always researching through electroacoustic set ups to extend the piano’s tonal possibilities.
Spots are limited since each studio can receive only a small audience!
