Expression Without Barriers: Musical Improvisation & Creativity #2
This second workshop in the Expression Without Barriers series continues the exploration of musical improvisation through breath, voice, rhythm, and creative collaboration. Open to all levels, it deepens the practices introduced in the first session while remaining fully accessible to new participants.

In a supportive, judgment-free environment, participants will further develop their listening, ensemble awareness, and confidence in spontaneous music-making. Through guided exercises and group creation, the workshop builds on previous material while offering fresh pathways for personal expression and collective sound.

Welcoming instrumentalists, vocalists, and anyone interested in expanding their creative relationship with music.

Tania Zountsa is a Greek saxophonist, composer, and improviser based in Amsterdam. Starting with guitar at 9, she discovered her passion for improvisation and later connected deeply with saxophone. Her musical journey spans classical training in Greece, studies in Brussels and Netherlands (BMus Jazz Saxophone and MMus), and Music Therapy exploration. Tania researches the ancient Greek music system, blending contemporary and traditional elements in her compositions. She leads Singularity Point, released debut album "AWAKE" (2022), ASSEMBLAGES OF THE SELF(2026), and is about to record her third album inspired by lunar cycles. Her projects include MARUSKES (Norma fund recipient, improvisation-focused duo with notable commissions including Marguerite Humeau exhibitions), Paper Throne, and solo project S ☉ U L T ▽ N, which combines music with visual art and explores heritage and identity. Active in Amsterdam's Treehouse artistic community, she focuses on original, improvisation-centered projects and multidisciplinary collaborations.
