EXPLORE THE INTERSECTION OF AMBIENT MINIMALISM AND BEDROOM POP
This edition of Live at our Place will feature ROL, an electronic music duo formed by Xico Ribas and Bea Alvarez. They explore the intersection of ambient maximalism, sound design, noise and Spanish bedroom pop. In the same night, Adhi & Kunupa present a new endeavor, a slow unraveling of sound and signal. The project is originally conceived during extended, caved-in meetings where long-form, hypnotic sections emerged. The sound touches fragments of ambient and psychedelia, built around gritty synth textures and exploratory improvisation that invite deep and focused listening.
ROL
Xico is an improviser and sound artist from Ibiza exploring the merging point between disruptive and post-natural soundscapes.
Encouraged by an understanding of chance as nature's and awareness' most accessible voice, he focuses on the creation of generative live-sets with different degrees of noise or unpredictability.
For him, subordinating human intention to nature’s order is a conscious choice, and making art through this lens becomes a statement as well as a spiritual practice.
Xico's sound-world includes field recordings, acoustic piano, feedback and digital sound design, often experienced through DIY spatial audio setups. Now based in Amsterdam, he is currently most involved in solo performance, collaborative projects and interdisciplinary artworks. Recent highlights include the WoO residency (2022), Konvent-Suralita (2024–2025), a mix presented on Radio Alhara (2023), participation in Breathing Spaces by Sonic Acts and Space as a Collective Sonic Instrument by 4D Sound (both in 2024), and the commission of the opening piece for Territori Festival (2025).
Bea Álvarez is a sound designer, composer and performer of classical viola and live electronic music, born in Madrid and based in Amsterdam. Through experimental composition and digital sound manipulation, she creates textural and organic soundscapes that explore depth, emotion and space, fusing the purity of acoustic sounds with live electronics.
As a performer, her work has been presented internationally in venues such as RADION (Amsterdam), Bios.Romantso (Athens), supported by EU funding through her duo LASALTAS, and at the Amsterdam Dance Event festival 2025.
In addition to her solo projects and collaborations with other artists as a performer, she has worked on sound design projects for film, as well as interdisciplinary collaborations with dance and theater. Part of her current research focuses on sound spatialisation and surround sound systems, and has been selected to participate in sound spatialisation workshops at festivals such as Sonic Acts Biennial and Aural Spaces x fiber festival.

ADHI
Adhi is an Indonesian-born, Amsterdam-based artist who works from a DIY spirit and strong intuitive drive. His sound combines cold, stripped-back electronics and early tape minimalism with dissonant melodies and experimental soundscapes.
freelink
Asa dj, freelink chucks sonic baths through iron jungles: odd sounds, funrhythms, eclectic energy, screeching highs, contorted beings, algorithmic data,& virtual oscillations drawing from a wide range of influences.
As a sound artist, much of his work and research aims to investigate and interrogate standardised reflections and understanding of listening. By recognising the underdeveloped nature of listening as a form of knowledge making, with the aim to create sonic or sound situations within spaces to distract, confuse, and to expose how we listen, through the use of constructed and recorded soundscapes. Opening the potential for a deeper understanding of the political, social, and historical aspects of hearing.
