AN EVENING OF JAZZ AND NEW CLASSICAL INTERPRETATIONS BY TWO TRIOS
During the month of May, Live at Our Place will showcase two three-musician ensembles. The Sofiane François-elie trio will perform a jazz music set alongside a cross-over classical performance from Valentine, Elsa and Ischico.
Sofiane François-elie trio
This European trio is a unique force in the modern jazz scene, weaving a world where rhythmic precision, formal exploration, and free improvisation intertwine with captivating intensity.
Composed of virtuoso musicians from different European backgrounds, their music mimics shifting processes, swirling air, flowing water, cracking earth, and growing forms.

Valentine, Elsa and Ischico
A trio that bends tradition, blending original works, classical pieces and spontaneous improvisation without borders. Each performance becomes its own adventure. Their music mixes spiced-up classical with folk and modern jazz influences, leaving room for stories, surprises and a real connection with the audience.
Each of them brings something unique: Valentine performs across major halls and festivals in Europe, improvising while implementing jazz and theatre into her classical world. Elsa takes her own music to unique line-ups and settings, mixing her classical roots with jazz and electronics. Ischico performs her original pieces alongside works by female composers, blending classical, folk and jazz, and performing them at concerts and festivals.
