Time: 14h - 16h30 Price: €45 + admin. costs / €30 people with small income / €10 with Stadspas (incl. drinks, cookies, material). Includes a “sense walk”
The “woollen sound bone” is a tactile sound sculpture. By touching or holding it you can hear and feel soundscapes and music. Everybody will experiences it different? We are all “aural diverse”; young, old, different sensory-abled, blind or using a hearing device, etc. We all have our own “multi sensorial hearing perspective”. We sense the surroundings in a personal way. Ricardo Huisman invites you to experience the “woollen sound bone” and a “sense walk”. Join this inclusive workshop!
What are we going to do?
- experience “the bone conductor” or “woollen sound bone” and share this with the others. What did you hear and feel?
- short introduction about bone conduction and Ricardo Huisman's artistic research.
- talk about soundscapes: how do you normally navigate through the surroundings? What are your favourite sounds at home and outside? What sounds do you remember from past?
- “sense walk” together outside, with some (simple) exercises, or directions to attune our ears and senses.
- small break for a drink and have a talk about what you experienced.
- discussion: what did you discovered during the workshop? There is time and material: drawing/writing paper, pencils, etc. including tactile materials to create something your own: you can draw, write, collage reactions or write a poet, your personal sense story.
For all ages (children guided by adult). Are you using hearing aid or are you sight disabled? No worries! Everybody is welcome!
