Step into the studio and discover the art of jewellery design. In this hands-on workshop hosted by Treehouse NDSM, you will learn the step-by-step process of modeling a custom piece using professional jeweller’s wax. No previous experience is required, just bring your curiosity and a desire to make something by hand. It is a welcoming, focused environment where you can create alongside a small group of fellow makers.

Guided by a bench jeweller with over 4 years of experience, you will learn how to sculpt, file, and refine your first ring design using the traditional lost-wax technique. During this 3,5-hour session, you will have ample time to experiment with the material and perfect one or more wax models.

Ready to transform raw material into a wearable piece? Secure your spot at the bench.

What is Included:
The Session: 3,5 hours of dedicated studio time and instruction.
Materials & Tools: All the practice and project wax needed, along with full access to specialized carving tools.
Guidance: Direct, personal attention and professional tips throughout the process.
Hospitality: Refreshments, including coffee, tea, and light snacks.

Foundry Casting & Finishing:
After casting, the instructor will take care of the professional hand-finishing and polishing so your ring is ready to wear.

The Fee: There is a baseline casting and finishing fee of €30 per piece, plus €5 per gram of cast silver.

Estimating Weight: A standard silver ring typically weighs between 6 and 18 grams, depending entirely on how thick or wide you carve your design.

Delivery: Your fully cast, polished, and finished ring will be ready for you within 2 weeks.

HOSTED BY

Working primarily with silver, brass, and copper, Cristina creates organic jewellery that investigates the relationship between nature, memory, and transformation. Over the past four years, her practice has evolved into a deep exploration of the natural world, guided by the raw forms, intricate patterns, and inherent resilience found in the environment.

Each piece is intentionally handcrafted to embrace fluidity and imperfection, allowing the unique characteristics of the metals to shine. By manipulating these elements, Cristina transforms rigid materials into wearable sculptures that honour the elegance of the changing earth and evoke a sense of personal history for the wearer.
