Date: 28 July Time: 19h - 22h Price: €50 per person, including a drink. Special Pride deal: bring a second person for free!
We’ll begin with a look at Vico’s installation piece on display at Treehouse, using it as a starting point to reflect on the meaning of materials, their art historical references, and their symbolic potential. From there, the focus shifts to play: using discarded or overlooked objects — such as food packaging, old wood, or cardboard — we’ll create our own artworks under Vico’s guidance.
You’ll learn a few key principles demonstrated by Vico, and then dive into your own process. All skill levels are welcome, from curious beginners to experienced makers.
Basic materials such as paint and old cardboard, paper scraps, etc, will be provided, but we encourage you to bring your own discarded items — anything from used packaging to scrap materials — to make your piece more personal.
We’ll end the evening with a mini-exhibition of the works created, sharing thoughts over a cold drink as we reflect on, and discuss, the idea of transformation — in art, and in our own lives.
You’ll go home with your own unique artwork, made from what once seemed like nothing.
